Name
Our name, This or That Eagle, a reference to the work of Marcel Broodthaers, was chosen because we are interested in what gets included and excluded in a context reluctant to recognise anything different from itself, an art context or any other context. You could say, what was a group of eagles has now become a group of artists, the readymade eagle now interchangeable with each artist.
Individuals
Robert Hunt was chosen as a featured artist for the Degree Show edition of Art World Magazine, 2009 following the MMU degree show resulting in him being chosen for a show at Arena Gallery named ‘A Degree of Uncertainty’. Hunt currently continues his practice as a painter in Liverpool where he is based.
James Pepper finished a successful degree show in 2009 before returning to continue his practice and work as an assistant at Milton Keynes Gallery where he is based. Pepper’s ideas and continuation into studying current theory was the backbone for the recent work in London show ‘All Systems Go’.
